    1. Design and Functionality-Basic Principle: The heating element operates on the principle of resistive heating. When an electric current passes through a resistive material, it generates heat due to the electrical resistance. Structure : Typically, the heating element consists of a coiled wire that is placed within the body of the hair dryer. Air is drawn in by a fan and passes over the heated wire, becoming warm and subsequently drying the hair.
    2. Materials Used – Nichrome Wire or Ocr25Al5: One of the most common materials used for the heating element is nichrome wire (an alloy of nickel and chromium). Nichrome is chosen for its high resistance to heat, stability, and durability. Other Materials: Sometimes, other alloys such as constantan (an alloy of copper and nickel) may also be used, depending on specific requirements and cost considerations.
    3. Operation – Power Supply**: When the hair dryer is plugged in and turned on, an electric current flows through the heating element. – **Heat Generation**: The resistive nature of the wire causes it to heat up rapidly, reaching temperatures suitable for drying hair. – **Airflow**: A fan at the back of the hair dryer draws air in and pushes it over the heated wire, creating a stream of warm air that exits through the nozzle.
